Focus on economic opportunities for Marches land
Opportunities to generate income from land in the Marches area will be in the spotlight at a special event in September.
Landowners, land managers and their professional representatives are invited to join the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership and other key organisations to find out more about new economic opportunities for land use and management across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
The event will take place at the Agri-EPI Centre Innovation Hub, which is on the Harper Adams University site in Edgmond, near Newport, from 9am-1pm on Thursday September 28.
The LEP will also launch the Marches Land Use Study and Funding Prospectus, including a new funding competition to support low carbon and innovative land use pilot projects.
Speakers, including representatives from the Forestry Commission and the CLA, will outline new economic opportunities in land use, potential sources of funding and how to tap into best practice. The Marches Nature Partnership will also be represented.
